A-Cubed abstracts away the low-level mechanics of Acquiring, Analyzing, and Acting on your data.
We think of the data-intensive financial marketplace as having two key dimensions.
The first key dimension is that we believe the systematic investment process comprises three major steps: Acquire, Analyze, and Act.
Step 1: Acquire – analysts acquire data from multiple data sources while integrating and enriching the data along the way.
Step 2: Analyze – analysts analyze the data, performing research on the data in the financial modeling tool of their choice.
Step 3: Act – analysts act on the data in their financial models by making real investment decisions.
The second key dimension is that the data management lifecycle, as it relates to the systematic investment process, can be expressed in the following seven functional areas: ETL, Validation, Storage, Data API, Entity Management, Derived Data, and Analytics.
